I was born and grew up on Romney Marsh. It was here that a deep rooted love for nature and space became ingrained in my life. My creativity first developed through painting landscapes and plants. I then went on to study Jewellery Design and Manufacture at Central St.Martin's College of Art and Design, London, where I received a B.A Honours degree. From college, I went on to work in London's Hatton Garden, specialising in diamond rings. After a couple of years I realised that living in the urban jungle was draining my inspiration and creativity. The yearning to escape the confines of the city eventually led me to the idyllic surroundings of North Leitrim, where I now have a workshop adjacent to the family home in Glenfarne.

My designs are strongly influenced by the untamed mountainous landscape that surrounds me. Design ideas change with the seasons and they all come from an awareness and love of the complexity, strength and beauty of the natural world. I seek to make pieces of jewellery which reflect or instill a feeling, allowing each piece to develop as I work on it. Some images are represented in a literal manner; others take on more abstract forms. Recently I have returned to painting and it seemed quite natural to me to work with the two media together. I am currently producing a series of work entitled "Silver-Settings", which involves elements of silver work set onto a painting to create one whole image.

I also work to commission and produce one-off pieces for special occasions and individual presentations.
